What does a warehouse employee do?

A day in the life of a warehouse employee

06:00 โ€“ You arrive at the warehouse, scan in at the gate, and join the morning briefing. The team leader explains todayโ€™s priorities: two large outbound batches for a retail client, plus a late delivery to process.

06:15 โ€“ You start with inbound. Together with a colleague, you unload pallets from the dock and scan the goods into the WMS. You place them in the correct racks with the help of a reach truck operator.

09:00 โ€“ After a short coffee break, you switch to order picking. A handheld scanner guides you through the aisles. You move quickly but carefully โ€” accuracy is key, especially with fragile items.

12:00 โ€“ Lunchtime! You join your team in the canteen for a well-deserved break.

13:00 โ€“ Back to work. This time, you help with packing and labelling. You fold boxes, seal orders, and apply the right shipping labels. A special export shipment needs extra care โ€” you double-check the contents before signing off.

14:30 โ€“ Before your shift ends, you tidy up your workstation and help restock some supplies. You check tomorrowโ€™s rota: another early shift, but a smaller order volume. Should be a lighter day.

15:00 โ€“ You clock out, knowing that hundreds of customers will get their order on time: thanks in part to your precision and effort.

Is this your next warehouse job?

You donโ€™t need a fancy degree: just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the motivation to be part of something bigger.

If that sounds like you, this role might be a perfect fit.
